I am riparian ecologist with a love of plants. I completed my PhD at The University of Melbourne on the role of water regime (and flow timing in particular) in the riparian vegetation dynamics of several unregulated and regulated rivers of northern Victoria, Australia. I am now a research fellow within the School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences at The University of Melbourne. Amongst other projects, I am coordinating an ARC Linkage project, working with Melbourne Water, Parks Victoria, Zoos Victoria and Greening Australia, researching methods appropriate for the restoration of wetland forests at Yellingbo – the last refuge of the Helmeted Honeyeater and lowland Leadbeater’s Possum.
